TES had a power flash this morning. Immediately afterwards teachers noticed the smell of electrical burning in the 3rd-5th grade wing. The fire alarm was pulled and students, teachers, and staff immediately headed to the designated areas outside. Students, teachers, and staff were then instructed to make their way to the Event Center to get students out of the cold. Tonkawa Fire Department, Tonkawa Police Department, and TPS maintenance crew arrived swiftly. It was determined to be a heater unit and the situation has been corrected. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. Two parent notifications were sent out via text message. If you did NOT receive it, please call the elementary school at 5806282566 to update your contact information so you do receive those notifications. Thank you!
