This is to inform you that Mrs. Grein the MH Counselor will be taking 6 th and 7 th graders to a presentation
about drug use for red ribbon week on Thursday, October the 31 st . This presentation is put on by United
Way and different people and business in and around the surrounding communities. This presentation
will consist of the dangers of drug use, using different scenarios such as a mock arrest, a mock overdose,
and a mock funeral. If you would not like your child to participate please send a note stating so or call
the office at 580-628-2566 or email Mrs. Grein at mgrein@tonkawa.k12.ok.us . This is a serious subject
that is meant to educate your child on the dangers of drug use. Please call the office if you have any
questions. Thank you.

Parents, Thank you for being such dedicated partners in your child's education! We’re excited to announce that students who had three or fewer absences during the first quarter had their names entered into a special raffle. Three lucky parents won a $25 gift card to Jiffy, helping to cover some gas expenses! The winners are Emerson Pedersen, Aracely Sigala, and Miyah Littlecook!

The Veteran’s Day Program will be on November 14th at 6:00 pm. This year, 5th grade will be participating in the Veteran’s Day Program. T-shirt order forms will be coming home soon. If you have a picture of a Veteran that you would like me to include in the slideshow, you can email me at kfisher@tonkawa.k12.ok.us and please include the Veteran’s name.
