The Tonkawa High School STYLE Students had a great time at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. They were particularly fascinated by Chihuly's blown glass pieces. The Persian Ceiling, where they had to identify all the cherubs throughout his work, was a favorite. They later were tasked with making their own representation of Chihuly's Macchia Bowls.
Thank you so much GeoKids with the Oklahoma Geologic Foundation for providing each 6th grader with their own set of rocks, minerals and fossils! They were a big hit!

The Tonkawa Board of Education has approved our next trip to Greece during Spring Break, 2028. There will be a parent/student information meeting this Thursday, May 15th at 5:30 in the HS library.
CURRENT 6th - 9th graders are eligible.
You could qualify for as much as $500 in discounts by attending the meeting this Thursday. We hope to see you there!
Teachers have been beyond spoiled this week at the HS/MH. Unlimited snacks have been up for grabs the entire week in our lounge and replenished nightly from the MH/HS parents. Today we enjoyed Los Potros provided by Williams Construction and Cheyenne Technical Services. We also have received notes from our students letting us know the impact we make daily in their lives. Thank you, thank you for everyone who has showed the love that we have felt this week.
Mr. Martin was the winner of the Teacher Appreciation gift basket donated by the MH/HS parents! Congrats!
Recently our Pre-K class had a special guest reader—Yesenia, a 2nd grade student who completely amazed us! She did an incredible job reading to our class, asking thoughtful questions and keeping everyone engaged from start to finish. Her professionalism and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! Our little learners were not only impressed but also motivated to become great readers just like her one day. Way to go, Yesenia!
CONGRATULATIONS to Stony Fath and Marcy Mulligan for winning Teacher of the Year at the High School and Middle School level. They were chosen by their colleagues for their unwavering commitment to the success of all students and their overall passion for teaching. Way to go Mr. Fath and Ms. Mulligan, well deserved!

The THS Choir traveled to Enid today for the Tri-State Music Festival and earned a 1 (superior) on the stage!
Tonkawa Elementary 3rd Grade Students participated in Pioneer Technology Center's annual 3rd Grade Days event. Students learned about awesome careers, participated in fun activities, and discovered cool tools! Thank you, PTC-We will see you next year!

The Oklahoma Engineering Fair was cancelled this year, but that didn't stop our students.
TMS & THS STYLE & STEM Students had a chance to showcase their engineering projects for their peers today. They did an AMAZING job! We had an Electric Motor, Rube Goldberg Machine, Rubber Band Powered Vehicles, Straw Eiffel Towers, Ping Pong Ball Launchers, Drones, and toothpick bridges.
There were also several students that had entries in the Louisa Douglas McCune Animals & Engineering Essay Contest. They had to answer the question: How can engineering improve the lives of animals in Oklahoma?

Jayla Paul and Joy Stout traveled to OKC for State OSSAA Solo and Ensemble contest today. Jayla received a Superior Rating and Joy received an Excellent rating!
TES Fourth Grade students used the money raised at their Wax Museum to help purchase 308 lbs of dog food and 20 towels for the Tonkawa Animal Shelter! Way to go Buccaneers!
THS-MS STYLE & STEM Classes had a blast @ the OKC Science Museum. To name a few: they learned about the Universe we live in, spinal alignment, experienced space and tornado simulations, and even had some friendly games of tug of war where they put their teamwork and problem solving skills to the test!
