The class lists have officially set sail and are posted outside the elementary building! While we hoped to launch them through Sylogist, the system isn't quite ready to leave the dock.

Just know—these lists weren’t thrown together in a bottle and sent out to sea! 🌊 A lot of thought, care, and heart went into building each crew. No matter the classroom, your Buccaneer is in for an amazing year with a team that always puts kids first. 💛🏴‍☠️

TES Early Dismissal-Thursday, May 22nd

TES Families — Out of an abundance of caution due to possible bad weather on Monday evening, the PK program will now take place during our End-of-Year Ceremony on Thursday, May 22 at the Event Center. Family and friends are welcome from 8:30–10:00. Classroom celebrations and/or awards may follow afterward; please check with your child's teacher.

Recently our Pre-K class had a special guest reader—Yesenia, a 2nd grade student who completely amazed us! She did an incredible job reading to our class, asking thoughtful questions and keeping everyone engaged from start to finish. Her professionalism and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! Our little learners were not only impressed but also motivated to become great readers just like her one day. Way to go, Yesenia!

Tonkawa Pre-K students want to say thank you to Simple Simon’s for the wonderful field trip!

Next week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation hosted by Tonkawa Elementary PTO! Join the fun and show appreciation for our OZ-SOME teachers & staff!

Tonkawa Public Schools is incredibly fortunate to have an outstanding school librarian, Mrs. Bess. Her dedication to fostering a love of reading is evident in everything she does—from providing students with access to engaging, high-quality literature to organizing guest author visits that inspire and connect young readers with the world of storytelling. Mrs. Bess also leads the One School, One Book initiative, helping to unite our school community through shared reading experiences. Each year, she coordinates the Scholastic Book Fair with enthusiasm and care, all while serving two school sites. We are grateful for her commitment, creativity, and the lasting impact she has on our students. On this School Librarian Day, Thank you, Mrs. Bess!

TES 5th Grade Parents, The students will be at the elementary school at around 6pm.

TES 5th Grade Families-Students are about to begin the 1-mile race. They have three heats for boys and girls each. This means that the earliest they would be headed back to Tonkawa would be 5:10ish. This means they won't be home until 6-6:30. I will continue to keep you advised as I know more information. -Mrs. Garcia
