Welcome to my online classroom. We are living a part of world history as we begin our online education journey at Tonkawa schools on April 6, 2020. This journey is a result of the Covid 19 global pandemic and we will all have a story to tell. When we left for spring break we had no idea that we wouldn’t see the inside of our school or experience any school activities for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year, but here we are. We are experiencing a time in which there seems to be nothing normal. Let’s use this time to establish some really good new normals that we can hold onto when we emerge from this pandemic.
Our online instruction component for Agricultural Education will consist of some new units of instruction and some life lessons type information. Please be patient with me as I maneuver this new frontier of online education and I’ll be patient with you as well. I’m hoping this old dog can still learn some new tricks. I’m setting up pages for each class so you’ll be able to go to your class and find your assignment/activity. I’m also doing a general Ag-Ed page because there will be some activities that I’ll ask all of you to do, regardless of what class you’re in. These activities/ assignments may ask you to do some research and give me feedback on what you learned or what your informed opinion is on particular topics just as we would in the classroom. I’ll look forward to your answers.
I miss seeing your smiling faces and hearing your “good morning” as you come into the ag building. I sincerely hope you’re doing well and am anxious to hear from you.
Embracing our Future,
